If you have one element with an advantage over an opponent, you do 50% more damage. Each of the common elements has an advantage against one particular element and a disadvantage against another. There are 6 elemental types within the game: 5 common (Fire, Spirit, Earth, Air, and Water), and the rare Starmetal element.
The playerbase is slowly decreasing / not growing anymore and since doing events is getting quite boring after a while, hitting all necessary milestones in pretty much every event, there has to be something else to do.Every Armor contains 1 or 2 Elements. Epic Armors are one of the most powerful armors in the game, only to be surpassed only by Dragonforged and Shadowforged armors.
